The Book Farm is endeavoring to become a place where you can learn (through Community classes and books offered for sale through our site), meet (Staff and Board retreats, professional development, etc) and celebrate (weddings, events and more). We've had our shares of ups and downs - with more downs than ups lately Read the Book Farm Project Blog >>

So we are raising funds for our project by offering books and other items for sale in association with Amazon.com. Simply use our venue to buy your books and other purchases from Amazon.com and a small portion of your proceeds will be credited to the Book Farm. We've made it easy and fun by creating custom stores (above) that feature recommended books from our supporters and friends, specially selected technology and home electronic items, and books related to the restoration projects we have begun at the Book Farm. As long as you start our Amazon.com shopping on our page, a portion of your purchase will be credited to the Book Farm. This does not increase your purchase cost at all. Read more about what we are striving to create on our vision page, and make sure to read and subscribe to our blog for frequent updates.

Remember to bookmark this page and return when you want to shop at Amazon.com. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Another way to support the Book Farm is a direct donation. We are not a non-profit and your donation is not tax deducatable. However, we've started out in debt becuase of essential finacial realties related to adding sewer, improving infrastructure and removing trees. We are working to create the kind of community business that we believe is essential for the revitalization of the economy and essential for the sustainabililty of our community. Your donation would be used stirctly for renewal projects on the Book Farm site that are consistant with these goals.

NOTE: The Book Farm also believes strongly in the work of two important local non-profits. Life's Kitchen is an innovative, non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of at-risk young adults by building self-sufficiency and independent living through a comprehensive food-service job training program, life skills training, and job placement in the food service industry. AND The Boise Urban Garden School (BUGS) uses organic gardening to engage students, teachers and community members in issues of ecology, local food economies, sustainability, nutrition, health and literacy.
